It’s a rabbit has as its founding motive the important observation that the map of Korea looks like a rabbit.  It doesn’t resemble any other animal, and, even if it did, it would still resemble a rabbit much, much more.  The map of Korea does not look like a tiger at all.

Not even a little.  So if some (likely Korean) chap tries to tell you that, in terms of geography, Korea looks like a manatee, or a three-toed sloth, feel free to direct him my way, and I’ll be happy to set him straight.
